G2E 2009 Scholarship Program Overview
G2E INTERNSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES FUTURE GAMING, MEETING AND EVENT PLANNING LEADERS A CAREER-BOOSTING EXPERIENCE
The G2E Internship Program gives college students the opportunity to attend the gaming industry's premier trade show and conference and begin planning for your future career right now! If you are chosen to be a G2E Intern, you will join the Who's Who of gaming professionals from around the globe, see the latest products, learn about the hottest trends and begin to develop your professional network. G2E is your opportunity to enhance your educational experience within the gaming or meeting and event planning industry.
Students looking to pursue a career in gaming or the meeting and event planning industry will be asked to write and submit a compelling essay explaining why they want to be at G2E. All essays will be reviewed by members of the G2E Conference Advisory Board and Directors from UNLV’s International Gaming Institute. A
total of 50 winners will be chosen. Students whose essays are selected will enjoy the following benefits:
- Free G2E Four-Day Conference Pass, including access to the exhibit floor and the Advanced Gaming Institute
- Admission to a special student group session on gaming and hospitality career opportunites
- Opportunity to have your resume/CV made available to G2E Exhibitors and industry professionals for potential internship opportunities.
- First-hand observation of how the G2E Conference is organized, by assisting with the logistics on-site for one full day.
Essay Criteria for Submission
- Why do you want to attend G2E?
- What you hope to gain by attending the conference and/or show?
- How you think your attendance will help in pursuit of a career in the gaming or hospitality industry?
Essay will be evaluated on content, organization, format, grammar and spelling.
Essay must be double spaced.
Essay must be typed using 12 point, New Times Roman font.
Essay must be a maximum of two 8 ½ x 11 pages.
Student resume/CV must be submitted with essay entry.

Responsibilities of Winning Students
- Travel and accommodations are not included.
- Students must complete and submit an evaluation form after the event on their experience at G2E.
- Assist with the conference logistics on-site for one full day.
Note: Paid G2E conference attendees will have priority seating at the conference sessions.
